Do you remember the story of Sleeping Beauty whereby a royal family seeks to protect their beloved daughter the Princess, after she is cursed by a bad fairy and therefore hide her away under the watchful eye of a good fairy for most of her life?

For 2024 this tale is brought to life in true pantomime adaptation with comedy, song and dance from the brilliant writer crew Plested, Brown and Wilsher, that have smashed out another success at ‘Salisburyshire’ Playhouse.

The cast and crew effortlessly start by inviting us to get to know the characters, where we soon find out that there is bad blood between the fairy sisters, the Princess is unaware of her fate and that the King recruits a most naughty Nanny to look after the Princess. Other characters come forward in the form of Mike the Magnificent, Stella’s best friend and undeniable love interest - even if they don’t know it. And of course the fairies who lead the capers with comedic comments and timing, complimented with Nanny Fanny’s flirty behaviour.
