Now touring is the new original comedy musical called - Hugh: The Musical; which is a fringe style, interactive musical at Riverside Studio, Chichester College (Times TBC)
It’s more of a 'Mum's Night Out' show - which has been co-written/produced and performed by two very busy Mums!
Susan Grant and Joni de Winter are the founding members of performing duo, Belle Street and Hugh: The Musical (Still a Work in Progress) is their first touring musical production with original music. It is a fun and original ‘fringe style’ musical and a light-hearted look at 90’s Rom Coms, friendship and the trials and tribulations of being a performer!
The story follows two hopeful performers who have been given what could be their big break -a musical to tour with all the promise of success. As they navigate the questionable plot of a 90’s romantic comedy their and their friendship are put to the test - especially when the rest of the cast don't show up and the budget is cut to the size of a flea!
Can the performers carry it off to an unsuspecting audience whilst dodging the many plot holes and without falling out?!
The workshopped version of the show was voted ‘Best Show’ by public vote in Shaftesbury Fringe 2022. So expect fun, audience interaction and to be ‘Hugh-gely’ entertained!
