A unique showcase of the most critically endangered birds of prey -

The Hawk Conservancy Trust is launching its new daily ‘Masters of the Sky’ flying display to showcase the majesty of some of the most critically endangered species, alongside the widest range of birds it has ever flown at one time.

Taking off from new 8m tall towers in the Trust’s famous Reg’s Wildflower Meadow, some of the biggest, fastest and most intelligent birds of prey will soar over visitors’ heads in breath-taking flight, giving a unique view of their huge wingspans. The Trust also promises a “jaw-dropping” finale.

Drawing on the awe-inspiring power of natural spectacle, stirring soundtracks and insightful yet entertaining live commentary from its passionate Bird Team, the Trust hopes the new display will help spread the word about vital conservation efforts to protect birds of prey at home in the UK and overseas.

Critically Endangered species taking to the skies include Hooded Vultures, White-backed Vultures and White-headed Vultures of which fewer than 5,000 remain in the wild.

Alongside these extremely rare birds, visitors will also see dozens of other birds including beloved Trust characters such as Azura the Black-chested Buzzard Eagle with her impressive wingspan, Miti the Bateleur Eagle and his unique flying style and Flo the Crested Caracara will also make an appearance, showing off her nest building skills for the very first time in an exciting segment.
