Andover Chamber Choir returns to St Mary's Church, Andover on Saturday 16 December for their annual Christmas Concert.
This year's programme is entitled "The Holly Bears a Berry" and aims to evoke the spirit of a traditional village Christmas. The music includes many popular carols such as 'The Holly and The Ivy', 'Good King Wencelas' and Harold Darkes' beautiful setting of ' In the bleak Midwinter'. Less familiar items such as ' Down in Yon Forest' and ' The Wexford Carol' plus selected readings will transport us back to days gone by. There are carols for the audience and a lively medley in which the audience will have fun seeing how many carols they can recognise!
The concert starts at 7pm., tickets are £12 at the door or £10 if purchased in advance from the Lights or Newbury Building Society. There is no charge for under 16s. The ticket includes interval refreshments and profits will be donated to Andover Food Bank.
