On Thursday 18th August at 7pm Cherubim alumnus Daniel Bovey gives a solo guitar recital in tribute to Julian Bream, genius loci of Semley for much of his later life. Gillingham-born Dan, now a leading professional guitarist plays a range of works commissioned or arranged by Julian Bream.

Then enjoy two evenings of opera led by another genius loci, Iúnó Connolly. On Friday 19th ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ features scenes from operetta and musical favourites; and on Saturday 20th there are two performances of a small-scale Magic Flute by the same company. Both at 7pm.

Finally on Sunday at 3pm an Afternoon of Irish Music, led by honorary Cherubim harpist Maria McNamee. Maria performed at Semley last year with her younger harpist sister Zoe. Here she shows her celtic roots with her band Abhainn (‘Ahvin’), harp, fiddle &drum. https://youtu.be/5CEriPMRrOI
