Throughout the school holidays, the National Trust at Knightshayes in Devon are inviting families to make the most of the warmer weather and longer days with a range of playful experience for all ages.
 
For the first time the team at Knightshayes are hosting a ‘pavilion of play’ featuring peculiar periscopes and giant ear trumpets designed to inspire everyone who visits to get a little closer to nature. One of just nine such structures at National Trust places across the country, the pavilion of play lets visitors survey their surroundings using the inbuilt look-out point, listen for nearby wildlife or simply invent their own way to play.  

The summer of play also includes the return of Knightshayes’ popular rope mazes, maze mats and grass labyrinth, along with nine other activities ranging from den building to a giant egg and spoon race.
