Happerley Family Food Festivals

  • Country Child Ltd UK (map)

Farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson is supporting Happerley Family Food Festivals, a series of intimate and sustainable campout weeks designed to connect families to farming, wellbeing and the local environment. Each is being packed out with feasts of real food and engaging and inspiring activities for all the family.

The camps are being hosted on a farm in Gloucestershire this summer and, if successful, the format will be licensed to other farms next year.

Hosted on a working farm in Gloucestershire during July and August, Happerley Family Food Festivals offer families a week’s stay to rediscover the genuine pleasure of life and living. With food taking centre stage, there will be the chance to meet producers, participate in demonstrations, enjoy tasting experiences, join in with hands-on activities and enjoy delicious local food and drink. There will be plenty of opportunities to explore the countryside, and engage with wildlife and the local environment

The Festival series aims to achieve zero food waste and bring sustainability into daily practice throughout the camps. Festival goers will be asked to bring their own plates, cutlery and refillable mugs, and support the event’s waste and recycling initiatives.

Festival goers can choose from three camps, taking place on 24 – 31 July, 7 – 14 August and 18 – 25 August at Willow Hill Farm near Tewkesbury.

Tickets are limited and early booking is recommended. For more information please visit www.willow-hill.co.uk
