THE LUCK CHILD – FAIRYTALES FOR FAMILIES

  • Country Child Ltd UK (map)

World-class performance storytellers, The Crick Crack Club, present fairytales for families at the magical Cranborne Earthouse.

"Beyond captivating" Oxford Theatre Review

Storyteller Daniel Morden and fiddler Oli Wilson Dickson tell a classic Brothers Grimm fairytale with passion and humour. Everything you could hope for is here... dark forests, mysterious strangers, talking animals, goodies, baddies, booing, cheering, singalongs, high drama, low comedy and a guest appearance by Mr B.L.Z. Bub himself!

Oli's fiddling is fantastic and Daniel's tale telling is terrific in this fun, family performance, suitable for everyone from 7 to 107.

In a field on the outskirts of Cranborne village, there is a hill, and it has a door…. One of Dorset's best kept secrets, the Earthouse is a 200-seat theatre – lit by lamplight and fire-light. Here audiences sit on wooden benches, under an earth roof, held up by 21 huge oak tree trunks… they come to listen to stories. The Crick Crack Club brings some of the finest contemporary performance storytellers to this fabulous off-beat venue – turning it into a cinema of the imagination.

The grounds will open one hour before the performance begins, so if the weather is good bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the sunshine.

Tickets are £6.50 each. For more information and to book, visit https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/earthousestorytelling/the-luck-child-family-show-7/2021-07-10/14:00/t-yxrznq
