Our drawing and painting courses are something a bit different to the usual offering for beginners/intermediates: bespoke classes, tailored as far as possible to the participants interests and abilities, in small groups of 4-6 people, with a holistic approach led by our Director & Lead Tutor, professional fine artist Daisy Rogers. Prior to the start of the course, we will gauge individual skill level, expectations and personal ambitions for the course, for example, what kind of art do you personally envisage producing? How do you like to learn? What is your previous experience and what artists do you like? Painting 101 in either landscapes or portraiture blends painting skills tailored to your level and speed of learning, art history tailored to your personal interests, providing inspiration and relevant technique discussions, incorporating colour mixing and theory, brush techniques and mediums, application of paint and studio versus en plein air / live sittings from your model vs photographs.
