‘One for all and all for one’ has been the phrase upon which this year’s Motcombe Village Fete has been based.
On the day there will be a huge number of traditional attractions including Pig Racing, Welly Wanging, Dog Agility and even a Mad Hatters Tea Party. There will be a falconry show at 3pm and Kevs snails will be racing all afternoon! There will also be a licensed bar in the ‘chill-out’ tent as well as a horse box Pimms and Gin bar. A large BBQ will be cooking up a delicious variety of street food and Strawberries and Cream will be served from a 1939 Morris lorry.
With much aplomb, Motcombe Primary School will lead the Grand Opening at 1pm, the Scouts are selling raffle tickets, Port Regis School is putting on a display, the WI own the
Tombola, the Youth Club is managing the Kids zone, the Church is running a treasure trail, North Dorset Rugby has the whistle for Tug-o-War and, of course, the Village Shop
is serving up tea and cakes all day. Everyone is involved – and there really will be something for everyone.
