Held in the grounds of the stunning Sherborne Castle in Dorset, the Fair truly does have something for everyone - including the dog! Starting at 10am, the day features dragon boats, dog based events, rare breeds, shopping, an array of outdoor activities for all ages, music and dancing, and a silent auction.
Each year, there is something new and this year's new introduction is perfect for Country Child readers! Due to its ever increasing interest from families, this year sees a wonderful dedicated picnic area/courtyard, providing a covered/tented eating area and seating for visitors/families to sit and enjoy their picnics. Within the middle of the courtyard, there’s a sandpit/play area for when the children have finished but parents/carers haven’t! What a great idea!
The Fair is organised by volunteers and will be raising funds for children’s charities, so go and have some fun and help give deserving children and youth charities some well needed funds! On Bank Holiday Monday (25th May 2020), the fair is open from 10am to 6pm and car parking is free. Family passes can be purchased in advance from £27.
