The annual sale to grab a bargain!
Turquaz has been producing children’s nightwear, bedlinen and nursery accessories in the UK for over 25 years so don’t miss the annual Warehouse Sale on 19th to 29th November from 10am till 4pm at the Milborne St Andrew warehouse.
The Turquaz signature look is traditionally British with a few quirky details rendered through embroidery. Extensive use of pure brushed cotton enhances its appeal and completes the high quality image that the products and company projects. The garments have been made in the same fair trade factory in southern India throughout and Alexandra has a close working relationship with the highly skilled workforce that ensures that only the best quality merchandise is produced.
Owner Alexandra Sterck, designs her products at the company’s offices and warehouse in Milborne St Andrew. This includes everything from the fabric design and colouring to the shape and cut of the garment and type of buttons. While the design might be traditional at first sight and in tune with the whole retro/vintage vibe, she will also add a twist for extra interest. This might be an embroidered caterpillar hidden under the collar or a fluffy embellishment stitched onto a cuff. Traditional doesn’t have to mean boring as far as Alexandra is concerned. Turquaz products are fair trade and have always been made in the same factory in south west India. The factory is SA8000 audited which means that workers are paid a decent wage and get statutory paid holiday and sick pay. It also guarantees that no bonded or child labour is involved in the manufacturing process. Alexandra also gives financial support to the local SOS charity which provides a loving home for orphaned and abandoned children.
